Vineyard wine making "Kuban" company.
From
the moment of its foundation in 1962 the company is specialized
on production of high qualitly champagne and wine materials. Nevertheless
it became famous due to other types of wine. These are so called
special strong wines: madeira type wines.
Madeira
is very unique wine which absorbed in itself a lot of sun warmth.
The appearance of this drink is connected with Spanish island Madeira.
The legend tells that one time the wine makers sent wine in oak
barrels to a parent state. On the way the ships got into the prolonged
storm. During several months the wine was splashing in the barrels
which were heat by the hot Sun. On arrival to the port it was discovered
that the ordinary wine from the island vineyards turned into something
very special. A strong drink for men started being called by the
name of the island - Madeira.
"Kuban"
company is the only enterprise left in Russia, which specialises
on the production of wines of such type. The enterprise uses contemporary
modernized scheme for making madeira, designed in Russia. According
to the scheme the wine materials received from the following sorts
of grape - Risling, Rkatsiteli, Aligote, Cleret - are getting matured
in special tanks with the temperature 40 - 55 Celcius and are being
saturated with oxigen during 3 to 4 months. At the end of this period
the such prepared wine materials, which often differ greatly, are
used in differnet proportiones to prepare parts for mixing and production
of madeira of the best quality.
