Taman wine plants.
The wines produced by the enterprise are considered
among the best ones in Russia. The results of 19 International and
Russian wine competition and exhibitions in Great Britain, Bratislava,
Bulgaria, Poland, Germany, Tbilisi, Moscow, Sankt-Petersburg, Yalta,
Krasnodar, Anapa witness about it. The collection includes 135 prizes
among them 2 Grand Prix, 44 golden, 53 silver and 14 bronze medals.
From
1996 the production of champagne on classical technology was organized
on the territory of the underground wine cellar. The unique operations
of remuaz and degorzaz make possible the production of high quality
champagne. For the last 4 years this Southern Russian champagne received
2 golden, 3 silver and 3 bronze medals at the International and
Russian wine competitions. "Romanov" (classical brut)
is the new type of champagne produced by the company.
Golubitskaja
wine company. The vineyards of the agricultural and industrial company
are located near stanitsa Golubitskaja, approximately 15 km from
Temruk center. Sherry is being done here. The scientists consider
that the wine was known more than 3000 years ago. Christofor Columbus
always took barrels with sherry for his trips. In ancient
Greece the wine was called "shera". In medieval Castilia
it was called "sherres". At the last third of the 19th
century the term "Jerez" was accepted. It is called "sherry"
in England and it is considered not only a wonderful aperitif but
also medical drink.
Tamanskii peninsula of
Krasnodarskii krai is the only place in Russia where it is possible
to produce sherry. The conditions which permit to grow high quality
grape suitable for sherry production exist only here. They are:the
number of sunny days a year, the average quantity of falls
and the way they are distributed monthly, the coordination of summer
and winter temperatures, the direction and strength of winds and
the rich soils.
