It must be a specially strengthened that wine company "Golubitskaja"
makes sherry only from its own grape. It is important, for the wine
makers know for sure the requirements for the raw material and try
to grow fruit following those particular conditions. Besides, the
collected grape and the wine material do not like long transportation.
In 1972 the wine plant and the vineyard - wine making estate were
united in unique technological chain. The plant itself can be considered
one of the first industrial wine making enterprise of Taman peninsula.
It was founded in 1936.
The best technologies
of sherry production were realized at Golubitskaja wine plant. It
takes only 4 to 6 months to get sherry, keeping the wine materials
in the special reservoirs and adding sherry yeast. It is being transported
later into the oak barrels and it is getting matured there no less
than 2 years. It is not allowed to shorten that time. And there
is no necessity to. Time only improves the quality of the drink.
Sherry is the only wine in the world the life period of which is
unknown. It is considered that 150 years is its childhood age.
4 golden, 4 silver and 1 bronze medals
tell about its quality. It is especially important to pay attention
at the silver medal received by the wine plant in 1958 because it
was the first prize of the plant received for the first sherry party
produced in Standards krai. Another important prize is the golden
medal of 2001 which was awarded to the plant at the exhibition in
Krasnodar for Taman Sherry.
